Photo Rejuvenation

Watch Video Before and After

Does your skin look old and tired?

Has sun damage made your face look older than you feel?

Would you like to look and feel younger without going under the knife?

It’s easy to revitalise your skin with photo rejuvenation, a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that targets several skin concerns including unwanted redness, pigmentation and sun damage. VC Dermal Clinics™ photo rejuvenation treatment clears skin pigmentation, age spots and freckles.

What is photorejuvenation?

Photorejuvenation uses specific wavelengths of light that target and penetrate the deep layers of the skin. This highly safe and effective skin treatment uses focused light energy to treat pigmentation and visible blood vessels. Once your damaged skin cells have absorbed the light pulses, your body’s natural healing process is stimulated to heal them. This results in reduced redness and skin imperfections with freckles and skin pigmentation disappearing permanently. After your photo rejuvenation treatment, your skin will be smoother and more evenly toned as a result of the stimulation of your body’s natural collagen production.

How does photo rejuvenation work?

Victorian Cosmetic Dermal Clinics photo rejuvenation treatments use state of the art technology to safely deliver controlled light to the treatment area. Our highly trained and experienced skin therapists are accredited to treat areas containing superficial haemoglobin or dark melanin. We use the Candela Gentlemax Pro for our photo rejuvenation treatments.

What should I expect after photo rejuvenation?

Straight after your photo rejuvenation treatment you’ll feel mild to moderate swelling and redness, akin to sun burned skin. The Candela GentleMax Pro can treat many different types of skin conditions. Depending on the skin concern we’re treated, you may also experience superficial crusting of your skin. This is a common desired effect that occurs when we treat skin conditions like freckles, pigmentation, and sun damage. If you have darker skin or have been exposed to the sun, you may experience pigmentation changes where the skin becomes lighter and darker in certain areas.

What should I do before my photo rejuvenation?

For at least 4 weeks before your photo rejuvenation treatment, you must limit sun exposure and avoid spray tans and solariums. We strongly suggest you regularly apply at least SPF30+ sunscreen everyday. Before you have photo rejuvenation treatment, you’ll attend a consultation with our paramedically trained therapist where they will undertake a test patch. This safeguard ensures you receive the most effective photo rejuvenation that gives you optimal results.

What should I do after my photo rejuvenation?

For up to 72 hours after your photo rejuvenation treatment, we strongly suggest you avoid excessively sweating and any heat. During this time frame, it’s also vital to use at least SPF30+ sunscreen and avoid using any cosmeceutical skin care. To keep the treatment area hydrated, we suggest you apply a soothing agent like ASAP soothing gel. If you experience any superficial crusting, avoid picking or scratching it.
