Which celebrities use which treatments?
Not all celebrities like to publicise which beauty treatments they use. In fact, when it comes to cosmetic treatments their use is often an open secret. Part of the myth of being a celebrity is that your beauty is ‘effortless’. The last few decades have seen a major shift from the surgical ‘plastic’ look toward a more ‘natural’ look, which can only be achieved through non-invasive beauty therapies based on light and natural elements.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, but a quick overview of how some particularly beautiful celebrities defy ageing and achieve such radiant skin, according to media coverage and interviews. All the treatments mentioned are available at Victorian Cosmetic Dermal Clinics (VCDC) at the same level of quality as the best clinics in Hollywood.

Cellulite treatment
Catherine Zeta-Jones who is well-known for her marriage to fellow A-lister Michael Douglas, is a star in her own right too, with roles in Hollywood films like The Mask of Zorro, and Traffic. Zeta-Jones reportedly uses a similar vacuum-based cellulite treatment such as what we offer at Victorian Cosmetic Dermal Clinics.
Tyra Banks has spoken often of cellulite, something she’s not proud of, being a former model and host of top reality TV series America’s Next Top Model. She reportedly tackles cellulite head on with a cellulite gel-cream, which uses detoxifying ingredients that help to tone, redefine, and firm the skin. And it means she can see results in between two and four weeks.
Demi Moore is another celebrity who embraces cellulite treatment. And as gorgeous as she still is, the actress who’s starred in hits like Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal, hits out at cellulite with an oxygen-based cream. The treatment blasts essential ingredients into the skin like oxygen, which helps to stimulate circulation and blood supply.
Chemical peels
Beyoncé is a massive music star with over 20 Grammys under her belt and a legion of obsessive fans. And Beyoncé’s skin is also something to obsess over. It’s been revealed that one of her secrets is to use chemical peels. These make her skin so smooth she doesn’t even need makeup. So that’s her secret!
Jennifer Aniston also swears by them. In fact, the actress who caught fame through her role as Rachel Green in the hit series Friends went on Conan O’Brien’s late night chat show and raved about how highly she rates them. Being a California girl, Aniston loves the sun and is prone to the odd sun spot. Chemical peels really keep her looking her best at all times.
Gwyneth Paltrow, who shares an ex with Aniston (Brad Pitt), also reportedly makes use of chemical peels, which she gets regularly. And Paltrow, who received early acclaim after starring in Seven, Emma, and Sliding Doors, is certainly in the know on skincare, as she curates her own lifestyle blog called Goop.
Cosmetic injections
Jenny McCarthy is one of those rare celebrities who talks quite frankly about cosmetic injections. The former actress, model, and television host says that she tells everyone about it. She adds however the trick is not to overdo it: “I get [cosmetic injections] in my forehead. I just have my doctor do a little shot.”
Janice Dickinson in contrast is said to be a more prolific user. Dickinson is often described as the world’s first supermodel and now owns her own modelling agency. Dickinson apparently gets cosmetic injections every seven months. In a video on her treatment for ABC news she urged her doctor to apply some “iron outers” to her eyes and for some new treatment on her chin as well.
Laser facial
Kim Kardashian from Keeping up with the Kardashians and who made ‘contouring’ the huge make-up craze has branched out into many other beauty trends. She told Oprah she’s a fan of laser treatments for fading fine lines and wrinkles, giving her that infamous youthful glow.
Former Sports Illustrated model Christie Brinkley is another advocate of laser treatments. Having been exposed to a lot of sun while growing up in Malibu and modelling on beaches all over the world, Brinkley is well aware of the effects of sun exposure. Laser treatments reverse those effects and keep Brinkley looking fantastic and event-ready at all times.
That is exactly why this treatment is a hit with Adriana Lima, a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics and a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Looking good for these shows means she’s one of several Angels who is reported to opt for a laser facial before every big show.
Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal has removed the need to constantly keep shaving, which is why a growing number of celebrities swear by it, such as Cheryl Tweedy (formerly known as Cheryl Cole) who sprang to stardom after winning a reality TV show in England called Popstars. She has enjoyed a solo career collaborating with artists like Will.I.Am and is now a mum. With such a busy lifestyle, Tweedy doesn’t have time for unwanted hair and is a firm laser hair removal fan.
Another popstar and former girl band member of the Pussycat Dolls, swears by the treatment. Ashley Roberts is now a model and has embarked on a solo singing career herself. She’s openly spoken about her love of laser hair removal saying, “Laser hair removal has saved my life! My legs were like cacti! I had to shave those bad boys twice a day!”
And to complete the girl band hat-trick, Victoria Beckham from Spice Girls fame ditched shaving her legs in favour of laser hair removal on advice from her friend Eva Longoria. She recently went on the record endorsing it, saying, “You can go for touch-ups if you do see little hairs appearing, but I’ve been very lucky and I haven’t had to.”
Low-intensity laser therapy (LILT)
Low-intensity laser therapy, which is sometimes also known as cold laser therapy, is a less invasive skin care method that stars are pining after. Eva Longoria from hot TV serial Desperate Housewives, is a fan of cold laser facials and gets them as often as possible. She says the treatment maintains her dewy and firm complexion.
Longoria isn’t alone. Sharon Stone, the mega starlet renowned for roles in Sliver, Casino, and many other films, also uses the treatment. And Stone is looking better than many stars 20 or 30 years younger than her. The treatment is perfect for stars like Stone, who is almost 60 now, as it reverses the signs of ageing as well as preventing further ageing.
This is why Sting is a fan too. The musician and former member of the new wave rock band The Police is still very much in the public eye after a 40 year music career. Low-intensity laser treatments work by stimulating cells and regenerating healthy skin. The fantastic thing about LILT is it leaves no visible marks of a cosmetic treatment, so Sting looks exactly like himself except younger and healthier.
Microdermabrasion
Jennifer Lawrence has been reported to use microdermabrasion, a deep and intense exfoliation technique using small crystals. She uses it as part of a facial package used by many before big events. Lawrence who starred in the Hunger Games trilogy and has been in countless award-winning features, has plenty of events to make appearances at. Her favourite type of treatment boosts collagen production, hence Lawrence’s luminous skin.
Actress Brie Larson, who starred in TV sitcom Raising Dad and the movie adaptation of 21 Jump Street also uses microdermabrasion because of its quick and impactful results. She notes that after a treatment her skin ends up looking beautiful as well as “improving the health and function of the complexion.”
Finally Naomi Campbell, the 44 year old supermodel is still as gorgeous and youthful looking as ever because of microdermabrasion. An industry insider says Campbell uses microdermabrasion to exfoliate her skin after using chemical peel treatments. This double whammy is what has ensured she is one of the most sought after models on the planet.
Omnilux
Esther Anderson, an actress on top Australian soap opera Home & Away says she became hooked on the Omnilux treatment after she had her first one, which is a non-invasive LED laser skin treatment. Anderson says the treatment is a stark contrast to other creams and facials, the effects of which disappear as soon as you wash them away. Anderson says the treatment is not only effective but also relaxing. Her skin ends up looking radiant, refined, and full.
Erika Heynatz is a model and also starred in Home & Away. She says Omnilux was recommended to her, and it has ended up being the best treatment she’s ever used. Now her skin glows when she uses it.
And Australian icon Kerri-Anne Kennerley aka KAK, also uses Omnilux. An Australian actress and long-time red carpet star who is over 60 years of age, KAK keeps her toe in the fountain of youth with the treatment. It ends up giving her softer skin and less fine lines. Furthermore, at less than 20 minutes it’s quick and she gets an instant glow and smoothed out look, ready for the glare of lights and cameras.
Photo rejuvenation
There are also plenty of celebs using photo rejuvenation, another laser skin treatment that can treat various skin conditions as well as signs of aging. This treatment also appeals to male stars like Bruce Willis of Die Hard fame because it’s a non-invasive technique and requires zero downtime. It can also be used around sensitive areas like the eyes and mouth.
Cate Blanchett is an Australian-born actress who has received international acclaim. She’s starred alongside A-listers like Brad Pitt and is widely admired amongst her peers for the level of depth she brings to her roles. But complementing her acting skills is her radiant beauty. Blanchett has been said to be a fan of photo rejuvenation, which may explain why she is so stunning.
Blanchett and Willis are in good company as multiple Oscar winner Meryl Streep is also reported to have benefitted from the treatment. While opposing cosmetic surgery, Streep’s more subtle approach has given her a taut neck and smooth skin. And at the age of 68, Meryl Streep still looks fantastic!

Skin needling
Angelina Jolie, star of Tomb Raider and other highly acclaimed films, is endowed with natural beauty. But she helps it along with skin needling, which involves fine micro needles penetrating the epidermal layer of skin to stimulate collagen and cell renewal. It can help to heal scars and even out skin tone. It also prevents wrinkling and general loss of tone.
Jolie’s recommendation may have prompted her ex-husband Brad Pitt to also use the treatment. The treatment can heal old acne scars and it is perfect for thin skin particularly around sensitive areas like the eyes, mouth and Décolletage. Money may not be an object for celebrities like Pitt who has a string of Hollywood blockbusters to his name, but as it only takes a few treatments to take effect, skin needling is quite cost effective and time efficient.
Naomi Watts is another star who uses the treatment. The British-born actress who has starred in films in Britain and Australia has also been in popular Hollywood productions and cult classics like The Ring. This treatment is likely popular with stars like Watts because it is pain-free and relaxing to boot.
