First of all, what is a male Brazilian?
A male Brazilian to put it simply is the removal of all hair on the entire genital area as well as the hair on the anus. Whether we’re shaving it, waxing it or performing laser hair removal, we are simply getting rid of all the hair off the entire penis, scrotum, testicles and anus. The best form of genital hair removal is by far laser hair removal.
What are the benefits of Male Brazilian laser hair removal?
We asked one of our male clients “what are the benefits of male Brazilian laser hair removal?” Word for word, he responded with:
“No ingrowns, No itching, ladies prefer it, looks better, no shaving rash, no cuts on your balls from the razor.”
Here I’ll explain a couple of the benefits our male client mentioned, the others are well…self explanatory 😉
No more ingrown hairs
One of the main reasons men want the hair on their genitals gone is because of ingrown hairs. Did you know that the most effective treatment for ingrown hair is laser hair removal? Why? Because it destroys the hair from the roots. Think about it, once the hair is gone – so are the ingrown hairs.
No more shaving rashes
Let’s face it, most guys start shaving their genitals before deciding to undergo other forms of hair removal. Once they’ve had a taste of what it’s like to be hair free down stairs, they can’t go back. This causes them to start shaving almost every day (if not twice a day). As the hair grows back it leaves them itchy and very uncomfortable. Male Brazilian laser hair removal removes the hair so that you don’t need to shave so often – eventually you’ll never have to shave again.
What are the side effects of male Brazilian laser hair removal?
Exactly the same as any other part of the body. Just like we treat a man’s chest or back or a woman’s legs and arms, the side effects of the male Brazilian laser hair removal is the same. Mild redness 24 to 48 hours after the treatment, the hair will start to shed 2-3 weeks later and then fall out. Once the hair has fallen out, you’ll be left with smooth, soft skin.
How do I take care of the area after a male Brazilian laser hair removal treatment?
Whilst a mild sun burnt feeling is normal post treatment, it’s important to apply a post laser gel regularly for up to 72 hours after the treatment. You can apply this as little or as often as you feel the need, it will help sooth and calm the area. Approximately 1 week after your treatment, we recommend scrubbing the area with an exfoliant or loofah to assist with removing the dead hair that may be trapped underneath the skin. The dead hair will fall out naturally, however exfoliation speeds up the shedding process. Avoid wearing any loose items of clothing such as tight jeans for at least 48 hours and of course no sun exposure what so ever.
Who is a suitable candidate for male Brazilian laser hair removal?
The most suitable candidates for male Brazilian hair removal are clients who have dark hair. Laser works best if the hair is thick and dark because the laser is attracted to pigment. We can’t treat blonde or red hair. We have lasers (Candela Gentle Pro Series) that can safely treat all skin colours light and dark, so as long as the hair contains dark pigment, we can safely remove the unwanted hair.
